Hamlet is a story featuring the most complicated aspects of human being, desire, sexuality, betrayal, sanity, love and hatred. Thomas Ostermeier has previously adapted many classics of drama and literature in his productions, including Ibsen's A doll's house, Hedda Gabler. His works are famous for shocking expression, bold lines and the combination with rock music, all guaranteed to break the tradition. With a new translation in German by Marius von Mayenburg, Ostermeier sets out to revive Shakespeare's Hamlet, giving this story a new life as never before.
