Stacey Kent, born in New York and raised in the UK, is one of the more world renowned female jazz singers in recent years. She has seven best-selling albums, and has won several important jazz awards. She was a Grammy nominee for Best Jazz Singer in 2008, and was awarded with the Chevalier des Arts et Lettre's by the Ministry of Culture, France in 2009. Her soft and soothing voice and her exceptional singing skills are praised and adored by many celebrities, including noted director Clint Eastwood and lead singer of Aerosmith Steven Tyler. She has been compared with jazz legends Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and Nat King Cole.
