The year 2009 marks the 60th anniversary of Dr. Liu Feng-Shueh's long- lasting creative career. She has gathered a top team, including composer Shih Jei-yong, Golden Bell awarded best cinematographer Deng Wen-bing, and many outstanding designers to produce Land of the Clouded Leopard, which unveils two baseball players' vigorous pursuit of their dreams against much adversity. Members of the company lead an ensemble of 80 performers –9 solo singers and 50 youngsters from Dan-Feng, Jhangshu, and TouCian junior high schools, all of aboriginal descent– in a performance that delivers sonorous singing, robust dance moves in an atmospheric set design. It is a of images. A work that shows off distinctive energies of aboriginal culture and reflects the choreographer's constant passion for art and concern for society.
