Four separated open areas of the NTCH are available for use: the Main Plaza between the National Concert Hall and the National Theater, the Main Gate Terrace at the front (west) of the Main Gate, the Theater Terrace by the National Theater, and the Concert Hall Terrace by the National Concert Hall. These areas have been used in the past for performances by groups including the NTCH’s own “Open-air International Festival”, the Cloud Gate Dance Theater, the Vienna Philharmonic and the Berlin Philharmonic, with audiences in the tens of thousands.

Main Plaza
For events: NT$100,000.-
Set-up fee: NT$10,000.- for jobs requiring three days or less; NT$20,000.- for jobs requiring more than three days.
Stage dismantling fee: NT$10,000.-; NT $20,000.- for jobs requiring more than one day.
 
Refundable deposit: NT$50,000.- (no stage or tent set-up); NT$100,000.- (with set-up of stage or tents); NT$150,000.- (with both stage and tents)

Main Gate Terrace
For events: NT$30,000.-
Set-up fee: NT$5,000.- for jobs requiring three days or less; NT$10,000.- for jobs requiring more than three days.
Stage dismantling fee: NT$5,000.-; NT $10,000.- for jobs requiring more than one day.
 
Refundable deposit: NT$10,000.- (no stage or tent set-up); NT$50,000.- (with set-up of stage or tents); NT$50,000.- (with both stage and tents)
  
Theater Terrace/ Concert Hall Terrace
For events: NT$50,000.-
Set-up fee: NT$5,000.- for jobs requiring three days or less; NT$10,000.- for jobs requiring more than three days.
Stage dismantling fee: NT$5,000.-; NT $10,000.- for jobs requiring more than one day.
 
Refundable deposit: NT$10,000.- (no stage or tent set-up); NT$50,000.- (with set-up of stage or tents); NT$50,000.- (with both stage and tents)
 
Notes:
1. For any event which entails use of the porch , stairway of the National Concert Hall ,or the National Theater, the applicant shall provide a description for the intended use, including a map of the affected areas approval by NTCH, and a daily rental surcharge of NT$10,000.- shall apply. Events lasting more than 7 days are subject to additional fees.
2. Events such as government receptions for VIPs, celebrations of the national holidays and events related to the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall itself, educational groups, the disadvantaged groups, and other similar groups, may be eligible for a 50% discount on the applicable fees. 
 
To apply:
Any school or legal entity is entitled to may apply for use. The nature of the event shall be in conformance with the standards outlined in the application process.
Applicants should first contact NTCH by telephone to confirm the availability and to obtain an application form to be filled out and returned by fax. For more information, call (02)33939738.
Applications should be made two to twelve months prior to the starting date of an event. Related documentation should be hand delivered or mailed to the NTCH with the followings:
1. Registration of the organization applying for use of the plaza (proof of incorporation, company registration, business license, etc.)
2. Completed application form signed by applicant and affixed with the seal of the applying organization.
3. A detailed description for the event to be held, including dates, times, type of event, expected attendance, contents of program, stage-plan, and the relevant data of the organizers and participants in the event.
4. Application fee of NT$1,000.- 

A contract shall be prepared ready by the NTCH for applicants inspection and signing, within two weeks after receipt of the above materials from the applicant. Refundable deposit and rental fees are payable upon submission of the signed contract.
