Performance Venues
NTCH is the premier performance venue in Taiwan, with four major performing areas available for various types of performance. The National Theater is suitable for major drama productions, ballet, opera and other similar performances; the Experimental Theater is just right for small dramatic productions and dance groups; the National Concert Hall is suitable for symphony orchestra performances; and the Recital Hall is perfect for chamber music, recitals and other small-scale performances.
These venues are available for rental by public organizations, private arts management companies and performing groups when not in use by the Center’s own scheduled performers.

Arranging rental schedules
1. Rental schedules for the first half of each year (January – June) are arranged in February of the previous year, and schedules for the second half (July – December) are arranged in August of the previous year.
2. Applications during other periods of the year may be accepted depending on availability of the venue.
3. Application for use of the National Theater should be made at least six months in advance of the opening date, and application for the National Concert Hall should be made at least four months in advance.

To apply:
Qualifications
1. Personal applications (for solo singers or performers): applicant must be at least 20 years old and must have made major public appearances in Taiwan or overseas.
2. Performing groups, agents or foundations must be registered with the appropriate authorities in Taiwan or a member country of the WTO.
3. Universities or colleges or their associated musical, drama or dancing groups which have been approved by the Ministry of Education or appropriate authority in a WTO country.

Types of performance allowed
1. Performances must be compatible with the specifications of the venue and must conform to the standards of the NTCH.
2. Performances must be intended for public viewing and not for a private audience, with tickets openly available for sale. In addition, events which require the use of other parts of the NTCH complex should be related to the primary performance.
3. The Center is not available for use for ceremonies, banquets, awards ceremonies or other similar functions.
4. Events such as lectures, international conferences or international performance competitions shall be limited to the Recital Hall or the Experimental Theater.

Approval and arrangement of dates
All applications for use of NTCH facilities must be approved before scheduling can be arranged.

Scheduling and contract signing
A refundable  deposit must be paid within seven days of receiving notification of approval and scheduling from NTCH in order to guarantee reservation of a facility. The contract must be signed and returned along with all rental fees within the designated period or the application shall be declared void and the deposit fee forfeited and the NTCH shall have the right to assign the period involved to other groups as needed without prior notification of the applicant in default.
